Committing to improving
the environment they’re surrounded in isn’t new to Tropicana. In 2009, Tropicana partnered with
Carbon Trust to certify its carbon footprint of Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice. In March 2010,
Tropicana announced it would partner with long-time partner, grower SMR Farms, for a pilot study to
test two alternative fertilizers to determine whether using either could significantly reduce the
carbon footprint associated with the agricultural production of oranges
